Mr. Derek Velasco ~ Technology Coordinator
Hello. I am the technology coordinator at Holy
Spirit School. The 2008-09 school
year was my first year at Holy Spirit.
I am originally from Southern California and graduated from Long Beach
State with a geography degree and a business minor. Before coming to Holy Spirit, I worked in the prepress and
graphic arts industry for 12 years.
Computers have always been a hobby of mine. I’m an avid PC gamer and can sometimes also be found
gesticulating wildly on the wii.
I try to offset the nerd
factor with an intense interest in sports… Dodgers, Kobe and the BACK-TO-BACK NBA Champion Lakers, and Romo and the Cowboys. Nothing but the best. I am an assistant girls basketball coach at St. Francis
High School (GO LANCERS!!) and also coach for the South Bay Scholars AAU
basketball program during spring and summer.
It has been a great experience so
far and I’m happy to be a part of the Holy Spirit community.
