Mrs. Susan Buchanan ~ Principal
Hello,
Welcome to the Holy Spirit School Website. I am Susan C. Buchanan, principal of Holy Spirit School. I first became a principal in 2000, and I was fortunate to join the Holy Spirit School community in July 2006.
I grew up in the Midwest, in a suburb of Chicago. I have attended Catholic schools from first grade through college, including one of my Masters degrees.
I have taught in most grades but most of my teaching experience is in kindergarten and first grade in Catholic schools. Before becoming a principal I, also, taught high school religion and sociology classes for four years.
I enjoy being a part of the Holy Spirit community and working with all of the students, parents, teachers, and staff. Holy Spirit has been commitment to Catholic Education for over 50 Years. We continue to educate students who are ready to enter high school and become productive citizens of the community and the world, where they can share their faith and spirit with all they meet.
Mrs. Diane Ghiringhelli ~ Administrative Assistant
My
name is Dianne Ghiringhelli and I am an Administrative Assistant at Holy Spirit
School. My family and I have been parishioners at Holy Spirit Church since
1987. My three children all graduated from Holy Spirit School. I began as a
parent volunteer and then became the director of the Hot Lunch program. That
part time position turned into a full time position when I was asked to spend
the second half of the day in the office. In 1992 I joined the office staff as
a full time Administrative Assistant. The last 17 years have been so wonderful
and I love being around the students and parents. I also feel fortunate to be
a part of such an outstanding faculty and staff. I also serve as a Eucharistic
Minister for the school and parish.
